Shock your SV 1000
MotoGP, Ducati And A Call From The Governor #18
Racers Ed Sorbo and Michael Gougis discuss the renaissance in the Ducati MotoGP tent, and what took the company so incredibly long to get it right. Somehow, a discussion ensues about Blockbuster Video, Patton Oswalt and pornography. Still nothing from Hickory Farms, but Sorbo reports progress on that front.

Lucas Lab
Lindemann Engineering visited with Mark Negast today. Mark is the Technical Director at Lucas Oil Products. He is seen here talking about the read out from an Infrared Spectrograph. Infrared spectroscopy is used in this case to identify and study chemicals in oil. Mark and his team will use this and other cool tools and the scientific method to test some new and used oil samples I brought in. Stay tuned for a report on what happens to oil in your forks and shock.
Better Racing Through Science #17
Racers Ed Sorbo and Michael Gougis recount one of Sorbo’s favorite highsides, caught on camera, and discuss how technology has kept racers alive longer and in shape to race longer (hey, Max Biaggi won his last WSBK title at 41 years young!). No discussion about bump drafting airplanes took place. The severity of the Sorbo highside is illustrated by the fact that after decades of wrenching on racebikes professionally, he is only able to describe the crashed bike as – and we quote – “messed up.”

Mystery School & I
A lap of Eastern Creek
One lap of my 60th different track on the all new Yamaha YZF-R1. Â Enjoy!
Note the trail braking deep into the right hand U turn near the end of the lap.
2015 R1 @ Eastern Creek
This is the un-used un-edited video talk I gave at Eastern Creek in Australia, my 60th different track. Â Go to MotorcycleDaily.com to see the stories about the all new YZF-R1 & R1M on the new Bridgestone tires. Â Correction, Kim’s R-1 was not the last 1000 I had ridden.
Racing Is Inspirational #16
Racers Michael Gougis and Ed Sorbo discuss how motorcycle road racing can bring out the best in people and share some heart-warming moments from the track and from the paddock. A discussion about physics ensues, with Mike Tyson and Neil Degrasse Tyson each playing a role in explaining Newton’s first law of motion. Sorbo persists in his belief that progressively-wound springs are the work of Satan.

How did I survive my childhood?
Dad is teaching Mom how to ride. No gear and look where I am. There is also a blurry photo of us riding away. Clearly these people did not have to pass a test in order to get me. Â Mom use to ride me to school on her motorcycle but being a boy, I made her drop me off a block away so no one would see. Â I had no idea how cool my life was.
