I’m told there are only two of these bikes in the world. I re-valved the forks and shock. Received this message from a track today: “Incredible. I’ve never gone this fast and felt totally in control.”

The first race is a 2 Hour with M1GP on May 1st. The forks and shock have been valved and sprung. The wheels have been trued and balanced with road tires. All the bearings have been cleaned and greased. The shift linkage has been cleaned, greased and shimmed. The chain has been cleaned and lubed. You get the idea. Stage Two will included weight reduction like an aluminum rear sprocket and power improvements like a pipe and jetting. Stay Tuned…

Lots of cleaning, greased the head bearings, LE did the forks, drilled for safety wire, drilled out the fuel screw cap and adjusted the fuel screw, more cleaning, changed the oil, and mocked up the mount for my lap timer. The white note book tells the story of everything I did to the bike. The yellow pages in the service manual are the notes from another TTR125 build I did for a 24 Hour mini race many years ago.

Follow along as this 2021 R3 transmogifies into a race bike. This is a customers bike that I get to build as if it’s mine. Even brand new bikes get washed before entering the Lindemann Engineering Shop.

Work has begun on my 82nd race bike. The first race will be a Two Hour at Apple Valley Raceway on May 1st with M1GP.

This will be our Lemons Mini. Lemons racing is endurance racing in cars that cost no more than $500. On the way here on a trailer, a stop at a coin car wash knocked off the worst of the grime from a big oil leak. This is the 2nd wash. Three more baths followed. Stay tuned and try not to get mixed up between the Blue Mini Race Car that is getting a built engine and the Yellow Lemons Mini that will become an endurance racer.

I took my new TTR125LE out for my first ride on it yesterday. The trail riding around here is not quite as good as trail riding in Hawaii. The purpose of this bike is improving my riding skills by practicing and racing on kart tracks. Follow along on the build. The first event will be a M1GP Track Day & 2 Hour at Apply Valley Raceway on May 1st.

The lift is installed. The Mini has been washed. The new high performance engine is late with parts on backorder. Time to let Lindemann Engineering have a go. The Plan: Remove the engine. Fix whatever is broken. Improve engine performance. Improve the cooling system. Force more cooler air in and let more hot exhaust out. Make the car lighter. Improve the suspension and set up. Improve whatever else we think of. Stay tuned.
